Fancy Smudging Fan

The 4 feathers are tied and then wrapped in deerskin (with fringe), the deerskin wrapping is secured to the fan handle by a knotted design (black cotton cord). The fan is decorated with two strands of beads, 4 beads per strand, with each strand finished off with a leather deerskin feather. A deerskin leather loop has been added at the top inside of the handle so your fan can be proudly displayed.

All our fans are one-of-a-kind, as each natural component is unique.

NO glue or plastic materials are used.

The Beads we use are as follows; Yellow Opal, Carnelian, Onyx, White Jade, and Green Turquoise Agate.

Our beads are all natural minerals or stone, 1/4” in diameter. The colour varies from bead to bead.

The first row of beads is arranged from the Medicine Wheel teachings; East (Yellow), South (Red), West (Black), and North (White).

The second row of 4 green turquoise beads have the meaning; to promote positive energy and protection from negative energy, are symbols of happiness and self-confidence. Other teachings associate the blue or blue-green color of turquoise with the sky, water, and earth.

Crystal Spiritual Properties

Yellow Opal: Yellow Opal inspires joy and invites us to dance wildly, drunkenly, and sensually with the Creator!

Carnelian (red): Carnelian has a soothing and warm grounding energy that makes us feel safe and loved.

Onyx (black): Onyx teaches us the importance of self-mastery, or the ability to harness our own strength and focus, in the pursuit of our most important goals.

White Jade: White Jade’s energy is peaceful, joyful, and wonderfully practical.  It gently encourages us to stop struggling so much and to step outside our ego’s perspective and see the bigger picture.

Green Turquoise Agate: Turquoise is a stone of great wisdom. It enhances communication between this world and the spiritual world. It has a purifying essence and protects us from negative outside influences.
